INTERNATIONAL TEAM SELECTION

Each year Tennis Canada enters and supports teams in Senior International Team Competitions. Selection to these teams is based on Canadian Rankings.

• Under current ITF regulations, all players chosen to represent Canada must be Canadian born or a Canadian citizen and must hold a Canadian passport.
• All players wishing to be considered for a team MUST compete in the corresponding age group in the National Outdoor Championships in singles or doubles in the year that is applicable for the team selection.
• It is desirable for players to compete in both singles and doubles.
• Additionally players must compete in a provincial or indoor National event.

The Seniors (35-55) and Super-Seniors (60-85 for men, and 80 for women) World Individual and team Championships are held yearly in countries all over the world. South Africa, South America, Australia, Europe and the United States have each taken their turn to host the Seniors and Super-Seniors World Championships in their region welcoming hundreds of Seniors players to their clubs.
