Ranking Criteria
To be eligible for a year-end ranking, a player must be a current member of Tennis BC and be a resident of British Columbia. Non BC residents are now included in the ranking system. To be ranked you must play in a sanctioned event.

Ranking System
Tennis BC’s Ranking System is changing in 2008 to reflect feedback from players and tournament directors. Their goal is to have the system reflect the relative merit of all players in the system. The main change is that instead of basing a player’s ranking on the total number of points accumulated during the year, the ranking will be more closely tied be to the player’s usual tournament performance, weighted for participation.

Base Point Awards

The points awarded for a player’s progress in a tournament have not changed. When you play in a sanctioned event, you earn base points according to how far you progress in the draw.
